Getting a reliable result
Select the intended database dialect where available and inspect identifiers, types and quoting in the generated SQL.
Worked example
Convert the sample Oracle grouped SELECT to MySQL: FETCH FIRST becomes LIMIT. For DB2, simple SELECT queries are supported; procedural code and complex expressions are deliberately rejected for manual review.
Limitations to check
Test statements against a disposable database first. Dialect conversion does not guarantee equivalent behavior.
